His journey to become a superstar is very struggling. He wanted to become a Bhojpuri singer. But he does not have money for this. But his dreams was all he has that time. He is ready to face anything for his dreams, to pay any cost for his dreams. To collect money he sold “litti chokha” in Delhi. He is a good dancer also. He used to dance in marriage ceremonies for money. He worked in the orchestra. He returned back from his BSF government job. Only because he wanted to sing.
After that, he collected money and published his first album. His first successful album was “Maal Bhetai Mela Me”. After that doors for Bhojpuri Industry are widely opened for him and welcomed him very warmly. His first movie is “Sajan Chale Sasural” in 2012 and he becomes rising Bhojpuri superstar in a night.
He used to do live performances. He charges approx 10 lakhs for a single performance. The audience loves his on-screen chemistry with Kajal Raghwani. He was awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award on 4 January 2017 for his contribution to Bhojpuri cinema.
He is a folk dancer. He performs real Bhojpuri / purvanchali dance. Sometimes he uses to perform the dance in a female getup that is popular as “Launda Dance” in purvanchal areas. This dance form is very popular in Bhojpuri regions.
